Cornerstone Finance Group partners to support Bangladesh businesses

Cornerstone Finance Group has partnered with the Wales-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce (WBCC) in a bid to ensure the businesses they represent can access the right financial support to assist with growth.

The partnership will allow Chamber members to gain access to unrivalled, market-leading financial advice across a range of services including mortgages, pensions, life insurance, commercial finance and insurance. Members will also be able to benefit from discounted financial products.

With Bangladeshi businesses employing thousands of staff across Wales and contributing greatly to the Welsh economy and culture, the partnership seeks to equip companies with the right financial products to support expansion.

The Cornerstone Finance Group is a hub of financial industry experts offering specialist interlinking services that work together. The Group operates across five different sectors of the UK financial services market - commercial finance, commercial insurance, wealth, mortgage and protection.

Haydn Thomas, Chief Commercial Officer at Cornerstone Finance Group, said:

“We are delighted to partner with the Wales-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, as they work to support businesses which are looking to expand.

“WBCC is doing a fantastic job in assisting companies in reforging links between Wales and Bangladesh to explore greater commercial opportunities between the two countries.

“Our partnership will now allow more businesses to gain access to specialist help - providing them with a one-stop financial advice solution. This will allow Bangladeshi businesses to concentrate on their number one priority – their businesses plans – whilst our team of specialist advisors do the hard work to ensure they have the right tools to support their plans.”

Wales-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce Communications Director, Rosena Alim, said:

“We are thrilled that Cornerstone Finance Group has come on board as our sole, specialist financial services partner. We currently have hundreds of chamber members – all of which will be able to benefit from Cornerstone’s support.

“Independent, sound financial advice is imperative to the success of any business, and we are excited to see the partnership deliver fruitful relationships.”

The WBCC is a volunteer-based not-for-profit committed to expanding opportunities for its members in Wales and Bangladesh and creating new and potent international networking possibilities.

Bangladesh is ranked as the UK’s 49th largest trading partner, 74th largest export market and 40th largest import market. ONS statistics record that Wales imported £102m worth of goods from the country and exported £7m of goods during the same period.
